Cargo transportation by all modes of transport in the CIS countries in January-March 2015 decreased by 3.3% compared to the same period of 2014 and amounted to 1.63 billion tons. This was reported in the materials of the CIS Statistical Committee.

Reduced transportation of goods during the period mentioned in the Ukraine by 24.5% to 110.2 million tons, Russia - by 6.3% to 642.6 million tonnes and Armenia - by 14.5% to 1.3 million tons. Leading positions on the freight in January-March, take Kazakhstan and Russia - 747.7 and 642.6 million tons respectively, accounting for 45.8 and 39.3% of the total volume of freight by all CIS countries.

In January-March of this year, total turnover of the CIS countries decreased by 2.4% to 769.9 billion tonne-km. Throughput of Russia amounted to 603.6 billion ton-kilometers (-0.3%).
